Dr. Otis W. Brawley, a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at Johns Hopkins University, is spearheading efforts to address cancer health disparities in the United States and globally. As a renowned expert in cancer prevention and control, Dr. Brawley is leading a comprehensive interdisciplinary research initiative at the Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
His work focuses on closing racial, economic, and social gaps in cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. Dr. Brawley’s approach includes developing and evaluating cancer screening strategies to ensure their effectiveness across diverse populations.
