Our hope is that shining a brighter light on our country’s pervasive disparities in health, as well as on the people and organizations addressing them, will help lead to a world in which all of us have an equal opportunity to lead healthy productive lives.

This website’s production team is led by a scientist with 25 years of experience preparing and publishing important and reliable health information for a leading U.S. public health organization. His immediate family encompasses African, Asian, European and Hispanic heritages, so he has a personal stake in health equity for people, no matter who they are or where their families came from.
