Crossroads4Hope, a network dedicated to cancer support, has received a significant boost with a $1.5 million grant from the Margaret A. Darrin Charitable Trust. This funding aims to expand their services and address health disparities faced by individuals diagnosed with cancer, particularly within low-income and marginalized communities.
The initiative will scale up Crossroads4Hope’s community public health model, which is led by social work and enhanced by technology. Key components of this program include the MyGo2Support platform, which provides direct mobile support to patients and caregivers, and the upcoming Health Champion Program designed to empower individuals in their cancer journey. Amy Sutton, CEO of Crossroads4Hope, emphasized the organization’s commitment to helping people navigate the complexities, fears, and isolation that accompany a cancer diagnosis.
Sutton remarked on the importance of addressing the non-medical needs of patients and their families, which are often overlooked by healthcare systems. This initiative strives to bridge that gap, providing essential resources and support at no charge, thereby fostering a safer and more inclusive space for all affected by cancer.
This grant marks the second contribution from the Margaret A. Darrin Charitable Trust, reflecting its mission to positively transform the lives of those facing significant adversity.
