Mama Glow Foundation and Carol’s Daughter

Carol’s Daughter, in partnership with the Mama Glow Foundation, is launching series of videos to provide Black birthing people essential tools to advocate for their health and the health of their communities. This initiative, part of the Love Delivered program, aims to empower and support Black birthing people by providing them with essential tools to advocate for their health and the health of their communities.

The training videos, which debuted on July 24, 2024, are designed to be informative and action-oriented. They feature leading voices in maternal health equity, including OB/GYN physicians, public health policymakers, and frontline midwifery, nursing, and doula service providers. These videos offer straightforward and actionable education to combat the Black maternal health crisis in the United States.

Lisa Price, founder of Carol’s Daughter, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “The new training videos provide our community with a straightforward and actionable education to combat the crisis. Our goal in this work is to leave a lasting positive impact on generations of Black women to come.” The Love Delivered program, now in its fourth year, continues to facilitate access to doula care and raise awareness about the Black maternal health crisis.

Latham Thomas, founder of the Mama Glow Foundation, highlighted the collaboration’s impact, saying, “The introduction of these new training videos will continue to support the birthing community and provide the educational tools needed to positively impact the lives of birthing people who are at risk of experiencing discrepancies in maternal health and care.”
